Seniors Ministry

PCF Seniors

The Senior Citizens Ministry began on the 27th April 2005 with a vision to win souls to our Lord Jesus Christ.

John 3 v 16 & 17 tells us:

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”

A deep foundation and a solid structure has been laid based totally upon the Word of God.

Each month the Senior Citizens enjoy a time of fellowship together. The meeting format comes in two parts consisting of:

Part 1 -

Various activities e.g. gentle exercises and occasionally, speakers from the community with topics such as Fire and Safety in the home and Crime Prevention etc.

Part 2 –

Singing, Testimonies, Scripture reading, prayer with God’s Word preached at every meeting by a guest speaker.

Senior Citizens have a very important place in all of our communities.  Their knowledge and wisdom is of great value to the younger generations.

Meeting Details:

The last Wednesday of the month

Time 11:30am – 1:30pm

Tea, Coffee and a light snack served.

All Senior Citizens are Welcome.

‘Reaching Out’ is also a part of the Senior Citizens ministry.  On a monthly – basis bringing a short service to the Senior Citizens resident in the Care Homes.

God loves every Senior Citizen and in His Word Luke 15 v 4- 6 tells us:

What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulder, rejoicing and when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.

Thought for the week

“We are too busy to pray, and so we are too busy to have power. We have a great deal of activity, but we accomplish little; many services but few conversions; much machinery but few results.”
